More lights - Page 3

This transparent red Energizer (bottom left) has got to be the biggest piece of crap. It's ironic, the only other flashlights I own that I consider to be really crappy, are Duracells. But who else but Eveready (or should I say "Energizer") would make a flashlight that will kill the batteries even when it's not in use. Today, Jan. 29, 2004, I decided to see why the red light hasn't been flashing for quite a while - like I really didn't know. The batteries (2 Energizer D's) which had an expiration date of 2009, were dead. That little red LED, that blinked about 4 times a minute, killed them. Unless you collect flashlights and you don't really need this thing, you'd be an idiot to buy it.

Eric gave me the top 2 on the left. They are made by Fulton. The brown one is Bakelite. The one in the middle is made by Delta. The red light is an Energizer DoubleBarrel - a slightly improved version of my other two. The top right is a Streamlight UltraStinger - 75,000 candlepower of blinding illumination. Without being a lot bigger, they don't get any brighter! Except for the blinking red LED, the bottom left is just a clear plastic 2 "D" cell Energizer. Then comes the rechargable, illuminated ice scraper. Now the bottom center is a cool (literally) light. It's a 19 LED, 3 "C" cell Tektite Expediion 1900. The bottom right is a multi-band radio with a built-in light. It is powered by ni-cads which are charged by the hand-cranked generator. It can also take double "A"s, but what's the point then?
